On December 19, 2023, the 5th Graduate Academic Annual Conference of the School of Life Sciences of Hebei University was successfully held in the lecture hall of the university. The purpose of this annual meeting is to showcase the academic achievements of graduate students, promote academic exchanges, and improve the academic quality of graduate students. The members of the laboratory actively participated and achieved fruitful results.
Among them, the oral report of 2020 Ph.D. Zhai Changchun "Nitrogen deposition causes the decoupling of plant with grassland soil bacterial and fungal but not protistan community structure along a precipitation gradient" and 2021 Ph.D. Bao Tiantian's oral report "Responses of soil microclimate to climate warming and changing precipitation in three temperate steppes", won the "Second Prize of Oral Presentation". 2021 Ph.D. Jiajun Zhang's oral report "Effects of nitrogen addition and elevated carbon dioxide on atmospheric vapor pressure deficit in a semi-arid grassland" and 2021 Ph.D. Guo Yunpeng's oral report "Effects of nighttime warming and". nitrogen addition on photosynthesis of Phragmites australis", won the "Third Prize for Oral Presentation".
In addition, Hanlin Feng, a 2021 master of the laboratory, won the "Second Prize of Poster" for his poster "Seasonal and vertical patterns of water availability determine plant reproductive phenology in response to intra-annual precipitation distribution". Xiaopan Wang, a 2021 master, won the "Third Prize for Poster" for her poster "Effects of nitrogen and phosphorus inputs on leaf functional traits and photosynthesis of three common emergent macrophytes in a freshwater wetland"
The successful holding of this academic annual meeting not only showcased the academic achievements of the graduate students of the School of Life Sciences of Hebei University, but also provided them with an opportunity to learn from each other, Xi and communicate.
