Postdoctoral Research Fellow and Research Fellow – Wan’s Global Change Research Group
About Us: The Global Change Ecology Laboratory of Hebei University are running a series of long-term manipulative experiments in grassland, forests, and wetlands ecosystems in North and Central China to study the impacts of global change such as warming, precipitation, nitrogen deposition, elevated carbon dioxide, land use change, and fire, etc. on terrestrial ecosystems, especially on carbon budget. We have been collecting data on soil physicochemical properties, plant physiology, species composition and interaction, ecosystem carbon flux and nutrient cycling from experiments involving multi-factor design to untangle the complex interactions among global change factors and to understand corresponding carbon dynamic in ecosystems. Our findings have been published in high impact international journals such as Nature Geoscience, Ecology Letters, Global Change Biology, Ecology, New Phytologist, et al., and reported and evaluated by Nature News in Focus, Nature Research Highlight, Nature Asia and Faculty 1000. Our laboratory received funding from the Major Basic Research Program on Global Change initiated by the Ministry of Science and Technology, the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, and Key Programs supported by NSFC. At present, there are more than ten experiments operating or under construction, and has accumulated abundant scientific data and valuable experiences (For details, please see http://gcb.hbu.cn).
In order to enlarge our team and output, 6-8 full-time research fellows and 8-10 postdoctoral research fellows are now recruited globally according to the recruitment policy of Hebei University.
